WARM's Board of Directors

Francis Daniel - Francis’s position as the Superintendent for the Wilmington District of the United Methodist Church allows him to be the voice of WARM, Inc. in terms of community outreach throughout its 5 county service-area. He has been in the ministry for 31 years!

Ron FascherLiaison to Project Manager's Council - Ron is WARM, Inc.'s resident Jack-of-All-Trades, working on everything from project management to photography and strategic planning to event planning. He also makes arrangements for WARM Inc.'s work teams visiting from out-of-town. Ron is an active member of Home Delivered Meals, UNCW's Campus Ministry and Good Shepherd and serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Trinity United Methodist Church. Ron's favorite part of his WARM, Inc. work is meeting new homeowners and volunteers.

William “Bill” Haddock, Jr. - As one of the founding members of WARM, Inc. Bill continues to work to ensure that it continues to grow so that more individuals and families are helped. He works in a variety of capacities from providing one-site project management on numerous work sites, as well as serving as the chair of the Board Nominations Committee. He is the pastor of the Wrightsboro United Methodist Church and is currently working on a PhD of Ministry in Missiology (the study of missions).

Shelley Holt - Shelley recently retired from her exciting career as a District Court Judge. Her desire to make a positive contribution to our community led her to get involved with WARM. She is married with two children, one in college and one in high school, and would really like to be the Commissioner of Major League Baseball.
 
Daniel Hughes - An Assistant Vice President at Wachovia, Daniel is a natural fit on WARM's Finance Committee. He appreciates the value WARM provides to our community by helping keep people in their homes. Daniel lives in downtown Wilmington with his wife Christine and their two dogs. But in the fall, they can be found in Raleigh most weekends at NC State football games.
 
Arlene Robinson Lawson, Board President - Arlene is the chair of the annual luncheon planning committee and is also a vocal advocate for WARM’s mission and services in the community. As Vice President and Corporate Community Development Officer of First Citizens Bank, Arlene serves several nonprofits at the community and state level. Arlene’s love of meeting people makes her a natural traveler.
 
L. Murrie Lee, Board Vice President - Murrie assists with WARM, Inc. fundraising and coordination of volunteer mission teams. He enjoys being a part of activities that are in service to others. Since Hurricane Katrina, Murrie and his wife, Teresa, have made and/or organized 18 rebuilding mission trips to Biloxi, Mississippi to help assuage the damage that occurred.
 
Vickie Osoria - Vickie's profession as a Real Estate Broker with Keller Williams and experience on the local real estate board's Professional Development Committee has equipped her to help publicize WARM's mission and events. In her free time, Vickie can be found making one of her beautiful quilts.
 
Louis “Lou” A. Purin - With an extensive background in construction management working within the utility industry, Lou is an asset on on-site managing workteams. He is an active member of Closer Walk United Methodist Church and finds great satisfaction in meeting and helping new people.
 
Herman Ray, Treasurer - After more than 30 years as a successful CPA in Kansas City, MO, Herman moved to sunny Wilmington for his retirement. Herman donates his accounting experience to WARM, Inc. by overseeing all of its financial matters. He provides consulting services to area organizations regarding accounting and tax matters.
 
Fred Riesz - After retiring from the City of Wilmington's Community Services Department, Fred wanted to continue to serve those in need by combatting substandard housing. Fred and his wife Linda are looking forward to spending more time together in retirement.
 
Palmer Sineath - A local business owner and former business management professor at several universities, Palmer is looking forward to strengthening WARM's business infrastructure in the areas of strategic planning and resource management. He attends St. Andrew's Covenant Presbyterian Church where he has built wheelchair ramps for local people in need.
 
Ronald “Ron” Simcoe, Board Secretary - Ron is chair of WARM, Inc.'s fund development committee and conducts outreach at area organizations and businesses. His vision for WARM, Inc. is to see that it become a nation-wide entity, because there is a need for its services all throughout America. By day he is a realtor, but as afternoon comes and the tie comes off, Ron transforms into a soccer junkie who has played, coached and officiated for over 20 years.
 
Mark Vernon - As a mortgage banker who helps people get into a home, Mark appreciates how WARM helps people stay in their home, living independently and safely. He brings his experience as a past president of the local Mortgage Bankers Association to his work on WARM's development committee to enhance our project funding abilities. Mark is an avid sportsman and enjoys empowering others to achieve things they have never done before.
